The mosque design sought to accommodate 7,000 worshippers while integrating an Islamic library, museum, government offices, and cultural center within a unified architectural composition. The concept poetically envisioned the mosque emerging from clustered building masses – like a miniature town with varied rooflines – before culminating at the site's highest point as a spiritual beacon. Blending contemporary forms with traditional Qatari elements, the design created a modern Islamic complex where faith, learning, and civic functions coexisted harmoniously. Though unrealized, the proposal demonstrated how sacred architecture could evolve to serve both spiritual and community needs while respecting cultural heritage through innovative, context-sensitive design. I have designed this project while working in AEB, Doha, Qatar.
